Applied Materials is a leading American company, established in 1967 by Michael A. McNeilly, and headquartered in Santa Clara, California, United States. The company provides components and services for semiconductors, TVs, computers, and solar products. In 1972, the company went public, and then the company became diversified, and its sales increased. Then, in 1984, the company opened its first technology center in Japan and became the first semiconductor manufacturer to do that. The company also launched a chemical vapor deposition machine named Precision 5000, which is a different machine that includes various chambers. Applied Materials started its Solar Technology Center in 2009, which was the largest commercial solar energy center in China.
