Alfac is a publicly traded US-based insurance company. It was formed on 17 November 1955 by three founders, John Amos, Paul Amos, and Bill Amos. The company provides many insurance policies to about 50 million people all over the world. Aflac was started in 1955 by these three brothers in Columbus, Georgia, as the American Family Life Insurance Company of Columbus. The company was renamed Aflac in 1990, but the original name was the official one. In the starting year, Aflac signed 6,426 policyholders and slowly moved its focus to sales. In later years, it also participated in philanthropic work by partnering with Children?s Healthcare of Atlanta, contributing a big amount to the child?s cancer treatment and research.
