The company was founded on 17 April 1931 by its parent company, Sears, but in 1995, Allstate became completely independent. Allstate is a public company located in Glenview, Illinois, and is part of the S&P 500 companies. In addition, the company offers a wide range of insurance products, such as home, life, off-road vehicle, motorcycle, auto, renters, boat, condo, business insurance, and investment, as well as banking services. Allstate also offers personal insurance services in Canada. Its key people include Thomas J. Wilson, Jerry D. Choate, and Edward Liddy.
