Andersons is a U.S.-based conglomerate, formed in 1947 by Harold Anderson and Margaret Anderson and headquartered in Maumee, Ohio, United States. The company was originally founded as Anderson Truck Terminal, a grain industry company. The company also started the Lawn Products business in the 1960s. The company?s focus was on grain transportation and storage via rail transfer stations and grain elevators. Andersons grew in the 1950s with the launching of The Andersons Warehouse Market. The company also started fertilizer blending later. In the 1960s, Anderson opened its first deep-water grain loading facility, and it was the first time it had been done in the United States. Then, the company made grain elevators and corn mills in Indiana. Their first retail store was replaced by a larger one.
