Carvana was also ranked on the Fortune 500 list in 2021. Carvana's history traces back to 2012 when its three founders. DriveTime, a car retailer company, funded the Carvana company. In 2013, Carvana started its first car vending machine. Currently, Carvana has about 30 vehicle vending machines across the United States. This company went public in 2017 and was listed on the New York Stock Exchange. The company also acquired Calypso, an automotive company, in the same year.
