Corning is a U.S.-based technology company, formed in 1851 by Amory Houghton and headquartered in Corning, New York, U.S. This company provides glass and ceramic materials for many industries. The company was originally named Corning Glass Works. Corning was involved in display technologies, life sciences, environmental technologies, etc. Plus, it has two joint ventures with big companies. After working with Steve Jobs, Corning started manufacturing Gorilla Glass, which was majorly consumed by smartphone makers. The company also incorporated its first industrial research lab in 1908. The company was originally known as Bay State Glass Co. Then, it moved to Williamsburg, Brooklyn, and was named the Brooklyn Flint Glass Works.
